Stardust C'est Moi

You might have already read this somewere..

Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements - the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution and for life - weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today.

Atoms, eh? They come a long way. Our idea of time and size and space is like a baby gazing into the distance, trying to make sense of something that we can't actually comprehend, as we are still not even able to use our tiny little brains to capacity. We still have a long way to go.

We are stardust, we are golden,
We are billion year old carbon,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.
Well, then can I walk beside you?
I have come to lose the smog,
And I feel myself a cog in somethin' turning.
But then maybe it's the time of man.
And I don't know who I am,
But life is for learning.

"After we die, our materials are recycled throughout the universe, and some of it will eventually become a part of another person or another kind of animal. So even though your consciousness is gone, a part of you is "reborn" within another living being. Wouldn't this make the idea of reincarnation closer to reality than that of an undetectable part of you being sucked up into space and ending up in a place in which we have no evidence even exists?"

Recycling, baby ; )
